The AI Journey Builder is an intelligent tool that helps any admins create Journeys through an intuitive, AI-assisted interface.The system can create journeys from scratch or generate draft journeys based on user input—auto-building highly effective, hyper-personalized experiences in minutes. 🎉
This powerful AI-assisted tool is designed to reduce the time it takes to build a relevant and applicable workflow, helping you get your new hires on the path to success even faster.

Please note that this functionality is currently only available to accounts that have English as the default language.
How to Create Your AI Journey: Two Powerful Ways to Start
Step 1: AI Document Library
The AI Document Library is the secure, centralized repository that serves as primary method in creating relevant content for your workflows. It is designed to ground the content in trusted, company-verified content, ensuring all AI-generated answers are accurate and safe. Head to Settings > AI Document Library.
To get the most out of the AI Journey Builder, you can upload any relevant files and documents (such as Employee Handbook, JDs, IT policies, Payroll Information, Values and Internal knowledge bases, etc) to better contextualize any workflows you create or optimize.
Step 2: Ready to build a workflow?
The AI Journey Builder gives you the flexibility to start in the way that best suits your needs. Using an existing journey or uploading a document to reduce workflow creation time.
The process differs slightly depending on which method you choose:
Option A: Create a new Journey
With this option you can build your workflow from scratch or uploading a document and using that a baseline.
Creating from scratch
This is where you can start creating your workflow from the beginning where you can make full use of the AI. The AI will ask you to either provide information on the kind of workflow you want or it will pick your brain and ask you questions and use your answers to get an idea of what you're looking for.
Upload a Document
This option allows you to upload a document—such as a company handbook—to serve as the foundation for a new workflow structure. Access this option via the left tile in the creation modal, which is designated for new or document-based AI journeys.
To proceed, first specify the type of journey you want to create (e.g., selecting "Pre-boarding"). Then, upload your document and click "Upload & Begin" to start.
Option B: Use an Existing Journey
This option allows you to create a new AI-generated journey using an existing workflow in your account as a starting point. To select this option, click the second tile in the journey creation modal. You don’t need to specify a journey type—relevant existing journeys will appear in a drop-down menu for you to choose from.
Step 3: Upload Your File (If you’ve chosen to upload a document)
Click the "Upload a Document" button.
A new window will open. Locate and select the file from your computer (e.g.,
employee_handbook.pdf).Click "Upload & Begin" to continue.
Step 4: Setting Your Tone of Voice🗣️
Before you let the AI work its magic, it's time to add your company's unique personality! You'll see a brand new Tone of Voice section. Here, you can define exactly how your brand communicates.
Select a suitable webpage (Our Culture, About Us, etc)
Prefer to set it manually? Use the intuitive sliders to dial in your perfect tone.
Pro Tip: Once you set your tone, Enboarder will remember it as your default for all future AI journeys. Easy!

Step 5: Let the AI Assistant Work Its Magic!
If you choose to upload a document, the AI assistant will automatically read and analyze its contents to identify key workflow items, timelines, and stakeholders. This helps streamline journey creation and minimizes the effort required on your part.
Step 6: Review and Clarify with the AI Assistant
The AI is powerful, but it works best with your guidance. At this stage, it will present a summary of its findings and ask a few clarifying questions to ensure the draft is complete and accurate. Your input is essential to refine and finalize the journey.
For example, the AI might ask for clarification on:
Timing:
"The document refers to 'Week 1'. Should these tasks be assigned to specific days—like Day 1, Day 3, or Day 5?"Stakeholder Roles:
"The document mentions 'HROC/CM/ACM Member Service'. Which specific stakeholder role should this be mapped to?"Workflow Scope:
"Is this workflow intended for all roles? Are there particular locations or departments it should apply to?"
Simply type your answers in the chat box. This collaborative step is key to refining the journey and ensuring its accuracy.
Step 7: Finalize and Edit Your New Journey
Once you've provided the necessary clarifications, the AI will generate a complete workflow draft. It's a best practice to carefully review all AI-generated content for accuracy and relevance.
From there, you can open the draft in the Journey Optimizer to make final edits, add new sequences, or refine any details.
While you are reviewing, you’ll immediately notice that your modules are pre-populated with curated, high-quality stock imagery! Because the AI selects contextually appropriate images based on your specific journey type, your workflow will look incredibly professional from the very first draft. Feel free to keep these beautiful images, or use them as directional guidance when swapping them out for your own. Boom! That's it.
When you're ready, simply click the Finish button to exit the AI experience and begin reviewing your Journey. 🙌
Below the line, you will see what the new hire will receive, and above the line will be the content for your internal stakeholders, such as hiring managers, IT, security, facility management, buddies, and others.
Each sequence represents a nudge sent to the employee, composed of various content and action modules, including communication, survey forms, and event modules.
Note: The new Journey can be found in 'MyAsset' as an inactive Journey.
Once you’re happy with the Journey, you can launch your new hires! 👏
Making amendments or adjustments is just as easy. Simply continue your conversation with AI once the workflow is built. You can discover additional information on how to modify a workflow using AI in this Article.
Recommended AI Journey:
When utilising AI to generate a new Workflow with specific criteria, you may discover that there are already existing workflows that could potentially fulfil your outlined requirements.
Before creating your Journey, a pop-up will appear recommending alternative Journeys that may better suit your needs.
Click on 'Preview Match' to view the recommended Journey and decide if you would like to use it. 🤩
If you would still like to create a new Journey, simply click the final button at the bottom to proceed. It's that easy! 🤭
Other Journeys:
This new functionality is currently available for Preboarding experiences. We will be rolling this out for other critical programs in 2025, such as AI-driven foffboarding journeys. 🎉

Some of the key points to think about when understanding our new AI functionality and how it can apply to your use of Enboarder:
Our new functionality reduces the amount of time it takes for an admin to create a Journey.
No customer data is retained or used by the AI for training and no PII data is used by the AI. For more information on this, have a read of our Security FAQ.
It is totally optional, admins can choose to use it or continue to use the existing approach to creating a new Journey.
This feature is only available for Admins to use… No New hires or managers will have access to it.
AI generated workflows can always be manually edited or enhanced before rolling out to your employees
Currently, our AI Builder only supports English. More languages coming soon!
Assets (Modules, Sequences, etc) that are created through the AI Builder cannot be shared or transferred to other accounts.
