The introduction of the Dual Email Workflow Delivery feature lets you send workflow communications to both work and personal email addresses.
This gives you more flexibility in how and when you communicate with your people — whether they’re joining, leaving, or moving within your organisation.
Key benefits
✅ More flexible communication options
✅ No need for duplicate profiles
✅ Improved workflow engagement
✅ Seamless experience for employees transitioning roles
Why the need for dual emails?
Different situations call for different types of communication.
For example:
🎓 Interns becoming full-time employees: Offboard them using their personal email, and onboard them using their new work email.
👶 Employees on parental leave: Keep them engaged through their personal email while still managing work-related updates on their corporate account.
💻 Contractors or remote workers: Some may prefer to receive updates at a non-work email.
With dual email support, you no longer need to create duplicate profiles or worry about losing engagement when someone’s access changes.
How it works
Each employee can now have two emails stored in their profile:
Work email – usually the company domain (e.g.,
@yourcompany.com)Personal email – any non-work address (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, etc.)

Setting up Dual email delivery
Add your work email domains
Go to Settings → Account & Security → Security tab.
Find the Email domains section.
Add all your company’s email domains (e.g.,
@enboarder.com).You can add up to 20 domains.
Once added, any email that matches a listed domain will be treated as a work email.
Personal emails are automatically recognised as any address that doesn’t match your listed domains.
Choose the default email for a workflow
When creating or editing a workflow:
Go to the Settings section.
Under Default email type, choose one of:
Default (primary email address)
Work (domain-aligned)
Personal
Default Email type explained
Default (primary email address) will always leverage the primary email address on hand in your profile.
If you have stipulated work email domains in account settings (ie: ‘enboarder.com’) here you can then decide to use a work or personal email.
E.g. '@enboader.com’ would be recognised as ‘work’ and ‘@gmail' would be seen as 'personal’.
💡 If you haven’t set up email domains yet, this option will be greyed out — with a tooltip reminding you to define domains first.
Adjust emails per sequence (optional)
Need finer control?
Within any workflow sequence, you can choose a specific email type:
Follow workflow settings
Work
Personal
This ensures the right messages go to the right inbox, every time.
Note: Any changes made at sequence level will override changes at the workflow level
Launching workflows
When you launch a workflow:
If an employee has two emails, both will be visible in the launch screen and reports.
If the workflow only uses one email type, only that email will display.
Notifications & reminders
All employee-focused notifications (like reminders or overdue alerts) automatically follow the email type defined in the parent sequence or workflow.
