Merge Dev

Merge Dev makes it easy to sync and update HR data between your system and other HR tools. We've built this integration to be clear, efficient, and simple—so you can focus on what matters most. 🙌

To personalize the Enboarder onboarding flows, the integration will fetch a comprehensive set of data from the ATS via Merge’s unified API.

The table below summarises the core data mapping between ATS (via Merge) and Enboarder:

New Hire Full Name

Candidate – first_name, last_name

Create new hire record.

Email Address

Candidate – primary email (e.g. email_address)

Used as the unique identifier and for sending onboarding invites.

Phone Number (if used)

Candidate – phone number field

for SMS notifications (if applicable).

Job Title / Position

Job – name (job title)

Label the role in onboarding content (e.g. “Software Engineer Onboarding”).

Job Description

Personalise the ramping plan

Department/Team

Job – linked Department (departments)

Route the new hire to department-specific content, key people etc.

Office Location

Job – linked Office (offices) or Candidate’s location

If available, to tailor location-specific information.

Hiring Manager Name

User (hiring manager) – name

Include in ramping plan

Hiring Manager Email

User (hiring manager) – email

To send manager ramping plan and other key activities

Start Date

Offer – start_date

Enboarder journey timeline (when onboarding activities kick off).

Interview Recommendation

Scorecard – overall_recommendation

Personalise the plan (e.g. if “weak on X skill”, ensure x module is included).

Interview Notes/Feedback

Scorecard – comments or notes (if provided)

Provide context to managers about the new hire’s interview performance for coaching/learning purposes.

Attachments (Resume, etc.)

Attachment – file URL or content

Further personalise ramping plan

Other Custom Fields (if needed)

Candidate/Offer – via remote_data or custom fields

Mapped to Enboarder custom fields for any extra personalisation (e.g. “Work Authorization”, “Shirt Size” for swag, etc.).

Note: Not all ATS platforms provide every piece of data (for example, some may not have structured scorecards or attachments). The integration will fetch what is available via Merge’s unified API.

Merge’s data model covers common ATS objects like Candidates, Jobs, Applications, Offers, Departments, Attachments, Users, and more ensuring we can get a consistent set of fields across different ATS. If a particular field is unsupported by a given ATS integration, that data will simply remain empty.
