Reports: Timeline and Activity logs

Find out all about the Activity (audit) logs and Timeline!

If you're looking to see everything happening within an active Journey, including the ability to make changes to details within that journey, then you're in the right place!

Getting there

From within the Dashboard Workflow Tracker, or within Reports: Workflow Report, click on your employees' name and it will take you straight to these logs.

Let's take a look at navigating the page. You have two view options; Timeline and Activity.

Timeline View:

When you first enter the logs, you'll be presented with the timeline view as above. There are a few things to take note of on this screen.

Tip: you can now click and drag the timeline to move along it when you're in the view as shown above! Give it a try.


On the top right, you'll see "Timeline" and "Activity" as buttons.

Timeline is the view you see in the top image, and activity is a full audit log which we will look at in the next section. For a limited time, you will also see the "Switch" icon above which allows you to switch back to the previous state of the timeline, should you require it. (Note: this will be active for a limited time only)


On the right-hand side of your screen, you'll see the "Main Info" drawer. The function arrow (highlighted above) will appear when you hover your mouse anywhere over the Main Info drawer, and when you click the arrow, the draw will minimize.

This drawer contains all the information about this active journey, and you can edit, update, and even cancel the journey from here.

To cancel the journey, click the "Workflow Status" dropdown, and select "Cancel Workflow" like this:


On the top left, you may see some highlighted icons depending on the workflow you're looking at. T for Test workflow, B for Bulk Hire, F for Free, and a few other icons. This is to help you identify what backend functionality may be operational on this journey.


Activity View (Audit View)

The Activity view is essentially an Audit of the journey for that participant you clicked on at the start. You can click on the Sequence name below which will reveal a panel with a detailed breakdown of each piece of activity relevant to that sequence.


To get more detail on a specific module within that sequence, simply click the name of the module which will reveal a drawer with a full breakdown of the module audit detail as below.

You can open the editor by clicking the "Pen" icon in the top right (or close the drawer by clicking the "X")


Monitoring and understanding changes made by Admins

Starting February 2022, any changes, updates, and cancelations made by your account Admins will now be more visible than ever before in the Activity Log view. No longer question who made what change!

You'll be able to see who made certain changes or updates to that workflow including any Key Date or Category changes, and in the case of a cancelation, the reason why it was canceled.
