What is SMS Registration? đ±
SMS registration is a sign-up or verification process where a service uses text messages (SMS) to confirm a userâs phone number or create an account. Certain countries require registration to ensure that issues around spam are contained.

No spaces
Valid characters: a-z, A-Z, 0-9
Minimum of 3 characters
Maximum of 11 characters
Why is it important to register your SMS name? âïž
đ± Verify identity â confirms you own the name
đ Improve security â helps prevent fake or duplicates
Which SMS Providers do we use? đ
We use 4 service providers:
Burst/Kudosity - used by APAC and US customers
Twilio - used by APAC and US customers - using Twilio, messages will ALWAYS come from a 10 digit number
Esendex - used by all EU customers except the UK and South Africa
AWS Pinpoint - used by the UK (Registration Required) and South Africa (South Africa doesnât support Alpha Numeric, so no registration is required)
What is the Registration process?
To get us started, we'll need to get a few bits of information from you. We use this information to help fill out the documentation on your behalf and to get your SMS Name registered with our SMS provider.
This means we will not have any bouncing Texts in the future, Hoorah!
Details required (as a starting point...we may need more depending on the country/countries that you are registering in):
Sender ID: A 4-to-11 character alphanumeric tag.
Company Name: Full legal entity name (must match the Business License exactly) for each country of registration.
Company Address: Registered office address (must match the Business License exactly).
Company Website: Official URL used by carriers to verify brand legitimacy.
SMS Templates: Provide the exact wording for a sample Notification message (e.g., "Welcome {New_Hire_Name}!").
Letter of Authorization (LoA): Global standard requirement; must be on company letterhead, signed by the person listed on the Business License, and dated within 30 days.
Business License: A high-resolution scan of the Certificate of Incorporation, issued within the last 30 days.
âImportant Global Variations to Note:
Additional Documentation for Complex Countries: Certain regions have much stricter framework rules. For example, Middle Eastern countries (like the UAE and Qatar) require the LoA to be physically stamped, and some regions require specialized documents like a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or a Secretaryâs Certificate.
Additional Fees: Please note that certain countries and carrier networks impose additional setup, registration, or monthly maintenance fees for dedicated Sender IDs. These will be discussed with you before registration begins
Once we get this information back from you, will go ahead and register your new SMS Name and make sure to let you know when it is all sorted.
Using the Branding features we have in Enboarder is a fantastic way to show your Employer Brand to all of your employees.
Note: Registration timings vary country to country, so we cannot guarantee the length of time that this will take.
