We're constantly working to improve our platform and make the onboarding process as smooth as possible for both employees and managers. One way we are doing this is by introducing timezone notifications.

Currently, Enboarder sends notifications based on the send time and timezone set in the Workflow Settings. However, we understand that Employees and Managers may be located in different timezones, which can lead to confusion and missed notifications. That's why we have now made it possible to send notifications based on the recipient's timezone.

Where to set a timezone

To set a timezone for an Employee or Manager, navigate to their Profile and you should see a field labeled 'Timezone'. This is a dropdown field where you will be able to select from a range of different timezones.

If a timezone has not yet been specified for that employee/manager, when opening a sequence link, the recipient will be prompted with the following message where they can choose a timezone:

When a timezone has been selected, this should now be reflected within the Workflow Report.

Can a timezone be changed?

Yes, if a timezone has been set and you would now like to change it you will be able to change the timezone the same way as mentioned earlier in the article by going to the Employees/Managers profile.

The Employee/Manager also has the option of changing the timezone in their own Dashboard.

Additional information:

  • If a timezone has not been specified, then Enboarder will fallback to the timezone set in the Workflow Settings

  • Timezones will be displayed on Connection Cards

  • The relevant timezones will adhere to daylight savings time

  • Admins can change the time zone for an employee after they have been launched, but the change will only apply to future notifications

  • Timezones cannot be set or updated using Profile APIs, Integrations, CSV upload or Employee import
