Enboarder offers a variety of methods to help you streamline your onboarding process. One of the most commonly used methods is importing CSVs to launch workflows. But did you know that you can also use CSVs to create profiles? This article will guide you through the process of importing CSVs to launch workflows and create profiles in Enboarder.
What is a CSV?
A CSV (Comma Separated Values) file is a plain text file that contains data separated by commas. It is a popular file format for storing and exchanging data between different applications. CSV files are commonly used in spreadsheet programs like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Let's get started!
First you would need to go to Settings > Apps & Integrations > CSV Upload and you will see the option to import employees on the left.
Enboarder gives you the option to download a template for use of importing your employees. Download the template and then add in the details of the employees you wish to import. Below is an example of the employee details that will be imported to Enboarder.
When you're ready to import, click 'Start Now' and select the file you have just created.
If there are no issues with the CSV you should get the following message. Click View mapping to proceed to the next step.
Enboarder will then give you an option to map your columns to a specific field.
When you've finished mapping your fields, click Save mapping.
Enboarder will then begin creating the profile and depending on the size of the file you may get the following prompt.
When this has been completed, you should now be able to see the profile in Enboarder.
